The Structure of IOTA consists of the following statutory bodies:

the General Assembly;
- the Executive Council;
- the Secretariat.
The General Assembly elects the President of the Organisation, who is the President of the General Assembly as well as the President of the Executive Council.
The statutory member of the General Assembly and the Executive Council is the Head of the Tax Administration of the relevant country.
Two Internal Auditors of the Organisation may be appointed or re-appointed at each General Assembly.
The Executive Secretary is the Head of the Secretariat appointed by the General Assembly.
Each Member has appointed an official as the Principal Contact Person to IOTA.
