Bratislava, Slovakia

22nd IOTA General Assembly in Bratislava, Slovak Republic, on June 25th – 27th, 2018.

“Impact of Digitalisation on the transformation of Tax Administration”

The General Assembly is the largest gathering of IOTA bringing together the Heads and senior officials of our members’ Tax Administrations, representatives of our partner international organisations, businesses and academia. This year we will discuss how tax administration and technology are increasingly interlinked and the way from “thinking digital” to “being digital”. A wide range of innovative projects and solutions will be presented, including robotics, blockchains, machine learning and cloud computing that empower tax administrations to modernise services for taxpayers.

Key themes to be discussed are:

  • What is the strategic focus and cornerstones of the digital transformation of tax administration?
  • How to ensure that digital transformation of tax administration will have a sustainable return on investment?
  • How can tax administrations enhance the engagement of taxpayers and business community in the digital transformation?
  • What role can international organisations play in supporting the digital transformation of tax administrations?

An exhibition of advanced digital solutions and tools in use by tax administrations will run in parallel with the General Assembly.

More information, including the invitation and agenda will be posted in the upcoming months.
