‘Submitting a tax return without stepping out of your car’ - such an innovation was offered by the Slovak Financial Administration in Bratislava to those clients who still choose personal submission of their tax returns.

The possibility to file a tax return in a mobile office was available for two days. Financial Administration tested this innovative way for the first time on Thursday, March 30, 2017 between 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday, March 31, 2017, between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Two mobile car offices were available at the parking lot next to the tax office building in Bratislava and were used for the transmission of documents without additional questions. 2000 tax returns and hundreds of notifications for tax return suspensions had been received. It means that tax officers accepted almost 100 tax returns per hour.

"Mobile offices are not a substitute for electronic communication, which together with sending electronic tax returns is still a priority for our administration. This is evidenced by the millions of documents submitted and received electronically since the launch of the New Information System. However, many of our clients still file a tax return on paper. So ‘drive-in’ tax return is a new way how to accommodate and facilitate submission of such tax returns", said František Imrecze, the President of the Slovak Financial Administration.
