The newly voted reform in Greece has created an Independent Authority for Public Revenues. The Management Board of the agency, apart from the 5 Greek members, will also include during the first five years of the Authority’s operation "an Expert with experience in tax administration issues that has been gained abroad" to provide the Management Board "with specialized consultancy services on issues of international best practice". The Expert shall be entitled to take part in the Management Board meetings without the right to vote, shall have the same rights of access to the Authority’s documents and data as do the members of the Management Board and the same obligations.

The European Commission will propose three names to the Minister of Finance. Those who are interested may contact the European Commission ([email protected])
