IOTA’s Executive Secretary, Mr Miguel Silva Pinto, participated in a panel session in the International Congress: Global Tax Administrations’ Efficiency - International Fiscal Cooperation and Governance held in Madrid on 30-31 May 2018, organised by the Institute for Fiscal Studies.
Along with representatives from the IMF and CIAT, the Executive Secretary discussed topics related to the performance increase of tax administrations in the world.
He also took the opportunity to explain how IOTA outputs such as the annual work programme, electronic technical enquiries, publications and projects contribute to assisting its member tax administrations in finding the best solutions to face modern challenges.
He also gave an insight on the trends of taxation in the digital era and the way forward to ensure the trust of taxpayers in tax administrations.
