The meeting of the 111th IOTA Executive Council

The 111th meeting of the IOTA Executive Council (EC) took place in Copenhagen, Denmark hosted by the SKAT - The Danish Tax Administration. In the margins of the EC meeting the last round of interviews was held for the position of a seconded tax expert in the IOTA Secretariat.

Ms Winnie Jensen, Director General Legal of SKAT, welcomed the participants of the EC meeting and delivered a presentation on the reorganisation of the SKAT, which is being divided into seven different bodies. Ms Jensen explained that the reforms are expected to bring more credibility, effectiveness and simplification to the activities of SKAT and that they are aligned with the policy of fair share of public employment across Denmark.

During the EC meeting, information on the activities of the Secretariat in the first quarter of 2018, updates on the 2018 and 2019 work programs and IOTA’s administrative and financial situation were presented and discussed. The EC was briefed on the recent developments of ISORA and the functionalities and benefits of the IOTA-TIP data portal were explained. The current restrictions regarding the access to the data portal and possibilities to alleviate these restrictions in future were discussed. In the margins of the EC meeting the Interview Board consisting of the President of IOTA, Mr František Imrecze, the EC members Mr Erling Andersen from Denmark, Mr Venelin Petrov from Bulgaria and Mr Miguel Silva Pinto, the IOTA Executive Secretary, interviewed the shortlisted candidates for the post of seconded tax expert in IOTA Secretariat by videoconference. The official announcement of the results will be communicated later.
