Giving a glance at the 15 years period, it should be noted that attractive tax climate and convenient conditions for business activities were established; whilst tax burden and tax rates were optimized as a result of constant hard work. Nowadays, tax service does not solely fulfill the fiscal functions, meanwhile it actively participates in the process of creating a competitive business environment. Today, via numerous electronic services provided by the Ministry of Taxes, it holds a leading position among the state agencies of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan has built a robust network of cooperation in the field of taxation. Membership of the Ministry in a number of international and regional organizations has been significant in terms of creating viable taxation environment, as well as addressing global challenges emerging in the field of taxation.
In conclusion, it is worth to highlight that though 15 years is a short period, this flow of time will be remembered as a significant cycle in formation of the modern tax service in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
