New Chairman has been appointed to the State Tax Service of Ukraine

Mr. Oleksiy Lyubchenko has been appointed to the position of the Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine on April 30, 2020.

The State Tax Service of Ukraine is a central executive authority that is responsible for the implementation of the state tax policy, state policy on the administration of the unified social contribution and counteraction of violations of tax legislation. The STS’s activity is coordinated by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine through the Minister of Finance.

Mr. Oleksiy Lyubchenko graduated from Kyiv National Economic University with an honors degree and holds a Doctor of Economics. 

He started a career in local government authorities (Smilyansk City Council, Cherkasy Regional State Administration) in Cherkasy region, Ukraine. Starting from 2003 until 2005 he held the position of a Head of the State Tax Administration in Cherkasy region. In 2009 – 2012 Mr. Lyubchenko held high-ranking positions in the State Tax Service of Ukraine. In 2007 he carried out doctoral studies at the Council for the Study of Productive Forces of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. Before the appointment to the position of the Chairman of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, Mr. Lyubchenko held the post of the First Vice President in Private Joint Stock Company “Ukragrokhimholding”.
