A Seminar of TAIEX Expert Mission on "Taxation of E-Commerce" was held in the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 13-15 of April 2015 . Szabolcs Czondor, Head of Department in Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration was the invited expert of the event.
Experienced employees of the Ministry directly related to this field participated in the seminar. During the seminar employees of the Ministry were familiarized with the expertise and best practice of developed countries. The participats also had the opportunity to discuss issues of bringing the local legislation in line with European standards, administrative framework of taxation of e-commerce and methods of conducting audit of companies engaged in e-commerce.
TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. Countries receiving assistance under this program are provided with recommendations, as well as short-term technical assistance in bringing domestic legislation in line with EU legislation.
