After less than two years since the implementation of the Immediate Supply of Information System in VAT (SII) the Tax Agency has already plans to implement a new real-time reporting system for products subject to Excise Duties.

Melbourne, Australia hosted the fifth meeting of the OECD Global Forum on VAT 20-22 March, 2019. The Forum welcomed around 300 representatives from over 100 countries and jurisdictions across the globe together with officials from international organisations.
Heads and representatives of 46 Tax Administrations gathered in Santiago, Chile on 26-28 March, 2019 for the 12th Plenary meeting of OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA). The meeting brought together over 140 delegates, including IOTA representative Eugenijus Soldatkovas, Manager of IOTA Work Programme.
The 26th Forum of IOTA Principal Contact Persons (PCPs) was held in Zurich on the 12 and 13 March 2019, hosted by the Swiss Federal Tax Administration. The event was jointly designed and delivered by a group of PCPs and members of the IOTA Secretariat, covering the main areas of activity of the organization.

Delegation of Armenian Tax Administration led by Mr. Davit Ananyan, Chairman of the State Revenue Committee, made a working visit to Italy, on February 27-28. Mr. Ananyan met with Mr. Antonino Maggiore, Director General of the Italian Revenue Agency, in Rome.
The first meeting of IOTA Technical Assistance Advisory Group (TAAG) took place on 28th February – 1st of March in IOTA Secretariat office in Budapest. Representatives of Azerbaijan, Belgium, Bulgaria, Sweden and UK discussed introduction of a new service for members – IOTA technical assistance service. The group prepared draft of the framework which will regulate this service. TAAG also drafted the process of IOTA technical assistance which will be the basis of functionality of the future online tool to be developed for this service.
