OECD and IOTA join forces in promoting stronger tax systems

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) signed the renewal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Co-operation between both Parties.

Digital Forum of IOTA Principal Contact Persons

The Digital Forum of the IOTA Principal Contact Persons (PCP) will be a live broadcast on IOTA website starting from 11:00 CET on 19 March 2020. The sessions will be recorded and will be available to be watched on-demand.

Published: Strategic Workforce Planning Guide

This Guide was published on 17 January, 2020. It is the output of the IOTA Project “Rightsizing the workforce in tax administration” sponsored by the Federal Public Service Finances of Belgium. The publication is a practical and hands-on toolbox that can be used as a guide by IOTA members which are interested to implement strategic workforce planning in their tax administrations.

6th Regional Meeting on BEPS for Eurasian countries (joint IOTA-OECD event)

Published: IOTA Report on Effective Treatment of Tax Rulings subject to the Exchange between Tax Administrations

The Report was published on 17 December, 2019. It was prepared by Subgroup 1 of the IOTA Forum on Implementation of Measures to Counter Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) and contains examples of practices in the effective treatment of tax ruling information. 

Member countries shared their experience at the Workshop on introduction of online invoicing

An IOTA Workshop on „Introduction of online invoicing – Experiences of IOTA member tax authorities” was organised in Budapest in partnership with the Hungarian National Tax and Customs Administration, on 3-5 December 2019. Forty-eight participants from 28 IOTA member countries gathered to exchange practises and methodologies related to online invoicing. IT companies were also actively present at the workshop sharing their expertise on online invoicing systems.

Subgroup on the Review of the IOTA Technical Activities

Subgroup members will review the procedure for the preparation and delivery of the annual Work Programme, implementation of IOTA projects and functioning of the online technical enquiry service.
