European Commission (DG TAXUD)

The Directorate-General for Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) is a part of the European Commission and is responsible for EU policies on taxation and customs. DG TAXUD develops and carries out the Commission's policies on Customs and Taxation. 

This Commission department manages, defends, and develops the customs union, which is crucial for protecting the external borders of the European Union. Additionally, it coordinates taxation policy across the European Union.
