Alix Perrignon de Troyes to remain the Executive Secretary of IOTA
IOTA officially announces that Mrs Alix Perrignon de Troyes will continue to serve as the Executive Secretary of IOTA for another three-year term. The decision was made at the latest General Assembly on April 10, 2024, where members voted with a two-thirds majority to prolong her mandate.
The online gathering was held at the request of the Hungarian Presidency to decide whether to prolong or terminate the Executive Secretary's mandate. According to the IOTA Charter, Mrs Perrignon de Troyes' mandate was set to expire at the end of August this year. However, as she expressed her intention to remain in office, the Executive Council convened a meeting in February to discuss the matter. The Council's recommendation resulted in the tied decision and the President's entitlement to convene a General Assembly and conduct an electronic vote on the issue.
The IOTA Secretariat successfully carried out the voting procedure last week, which resulted in an overwhelming majority vote to prolong the mandate of the Executive Secretary for another three-year term.
