First Council meeting of the Network of Tax Organisations

IOTA Executive Secretary Miguel Silva Pinto participated together with Eugenijus Soldatkovas, the Manager of IOTA Work Program in the first meeting of the Council of the Network of Tax Organisations NTO, the global platform of regional tax organisations founded last May in Ottawa.

The meeting was held on the eve of the CIAT-IOTA joint Tax Summit and was chaired by Marcio Verdi, Chair of the NTO and Executive Secretary of CIAT. Other participating organisations were CATA, CREDAF and WATAF.

The Council discussed the Action Plan of the NTO for 2018/2019, the forthcoming launching of NTO products for the respective members such as the establishment of a NTO Ethics Committee, e-learning courses, publications and the organisation of the first NTO Technical Conference in 2020.
