IOTA Workshop Non-filers and Stop-filers: Identifying Effective Solutions to Increase (Voluntary) Tax Compliance

The IOTA workshop 'Non-filers and Stop-filers: Identifying Effective Solutions to Increase (Voluntary) Tax Compliance' was held on 10-12 February 2016 in Budapest, Hungary.

The workshop was co-arranged with the European Commission, and saw 25 participants from 16 IOTA member countries discuss their experiences, shared practical topics/fields of interest with each other and the opportunity to form personal contacts and exchange ideas and solutions.

During group discussions participants examined ways that IOTA member tax administrations can identify, handle and engage with non-filers and stop-filers, and find effective solutions to increase tax compliance. The workshop had a secondary focus on voluntary compliance initiatives towards non-filers and stop-filers. Mr. Pierre Vandenberghe (DG Taxud) attended this workshop and assisted with topic introduction and event summary presentations.

Further information about the workshop including the presentations is available here.
