Polish Ministry of Finance Hosts the IOTA Combating VAT Fraud Forum

On 15-17 April 2015, the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations, in co-operation with the Polish Ministry of Finance organised in Krakow the IOTA Combating VAT Fraud Forum which focused on the use of Alternative Payment Platforms and Cross Border VAT Fraud.

The Combating VAT Fraud Forum meets once per year during its two year mandate, it provides delegates with an opportunity to discuss a wide range of topics, problems and issues relating to VAT fraud. This year's meeting was attended by 57 delegates from 32 IOTA member countries and the topics of focus were the developments in the use of alternative payment platforms as a fraud mechanism and organised cross border VAT fraud related to import, export and VAT refund schemes for foreign businesses
