Preparations completed for International Survey On Revenue Administrations (ISORA)

IOTA President Mr Octavian Deaconu will sign the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the cooperation between IOTA, IMF, OECD and CIAT on the ISORA data collection survey at an official signing ceremony in Washington DC on 16 April 2016.  This document forms the basis for the cooperation between the four partnering organisations on the ISORA data gathering instrument. From IOTA side the MoU will enter into force following ratification at the 20th IOTA General Assembly in July 2016 in Bucharest, Romania.

ISORA is a joint web-based survey (questionnaire) developed in cooperation between IOTA, OECD, IMF and CIAT and based on the RA-FIT data collection platform. The purpose of ISORA is to have one single international survey on revenue administrations (tax- and customs). This has several benefits and foremost it eases the burden of data reporting put on individual countries while ensuring that data is comparable across the international tax community. Close to all IOTA member tax administrations will participate. Tax administrations can use ISORA data to measure, compare and benchmark their performance on core parameters to advise and inspire to improve their administration, processes and solutions.
