Registration Now Open for Most VITARA Courses for FY27
IOTA is pleased to announce that registration is now open for most courses available through the VITARA learning platform for Fiscal Year 2027. The courses will remain accessible until 15 April 2027, while the registration deadline is 1 April 2027.
The FY27 portfolio includes 24 online courses that cover a wide range of tax administration topics and offer flexible learning opportunities for tax officials and government professionals.
This year’s portfolio has been updated to include the Compliance Risk Management and Audit Program modules. These are now available in more languages.
Please note that applications for these two newly introduced courses are open exclusively to government officials until 31 August 2026 and must be submitted via the IMF web portal (links are provided above). Participants interested in enrolling in either course are requested to complete their registration by mid-August.
We encourage all interested tax officials to explore the course portfolio and take advantage of these valuable learning opportunities. For further details, please visit the dedicated VITARA page on the IOTA web portal, where the course portfolio and the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document are also accessible.
VITARA, which stands for Virtual Training to Advance Revenue Administration, is a collaborative initiative involving the Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations (CIAT), the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). Launched in 2020, VITARA aims to develop an effective, accessible, on-demand, free online curriculum covering revenue administrative topics. These introductory-level modules are tailored for busy professionals seeking to enhance their skills in tax administration.
