Swiss Presidency Visits IOTA Secretariat in Budapest
Representatives of the Swiss IOTA Presidency paid an official visit to the IOTA Secretariat in Budapest, Hungary on 16th March 2022.
The 25th IOTA General Assembly appointed the Swiss Federal Tax Administration as the next Presidency of IOTA for the current period 2021/2022, with Mr. Marc Bugnon becoming the new President of IOTA for this one-year term. During 29th and 30th June 2022, the 26th IOTA General Assembly will be held in Zürich under the Swiss Presidency.
The delegation led by Marc Bugnon, President of IOTA had a successful meeting with the management of IOTA Secretariat. Mrs. Alix Perrignon de Troyes, Executive Secretary of IOTA, and other members of the Secretariat management gave an update on the organisational and personnel changes in the Secretariat.
Both sides exchanged their views and perspectives on the ongoing process of developing the new IOTA Strategy 2023-2027, the preparations for the upcoming 29th Forum of the IOTA Principal Contact Persons as well as the 26th General Assembly. Furthermore, they discussed the progress achieved in the preparation for launching the tender for the development of a new IOTA web portal.
Mr. Mark Bugnon expressed gratitude to the members of the IOTA Secretariat for their work, loyalty and professionalism in facilitating the achievement of priorities of the Swiss Presidency in IOTA, and wished to successfully continue mutual collaboration in the organisation of the most important event of the year - 26th General Assembly of IOTA in Zürich.
