IOTA in "National Tax Consultation 2018" conference in Budapest

IOTA’s Executive Secretary, Miguel Silva Pinto delivered a speech in the conference „National Tax Consultation 2018”, organised by the NTCA – The National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary, which was held on 4 October in Budapest.

Speaking in the conference, Miguel Silva Pinto said that by an inclusive process of preparation of the working programme of the organisation, IOTA is capable to identify the needs and concerns of its member countries, building an annual activities agenda designed to satisfy different types of attendants at different levels of tax administration.

Stressing the role of the tax administration as a service provider, whereby taxpayers are advised and guided on how to comply with the fulfilment of their tax obligations, the Executive Secretary agreed with Mr Laszlo Sors, State Secretary and Commissioner of the NTCA that cooperation amongst different organisations is key to improve the effectiveness and fairness of the tax system.
