IOTA Tax Professional Learning & Development Forum 2016

The second meeting of the IOTA Tax Professional Learning & Development Forum current Mandate was held in Tallinn on 21-23 September 2016 hosted by the of Estonian Tax and Customs Board.

Approximately 50 participants from different IOTA member countries exchanged in using different formats such as Ted-Talks, Speed-Dating, drawing sessions, several group works, their experiences regarding trends in learning, leadership development and demographic changes.

Also, the European Commission delivered two presentations concerning ‘Leadership and Management training Programmes and Competency Framework’ and a visit to the e-Estonian showroom gave the delegates a great impression of the Estonian e-services.

On the last day of the event delegates dedicated some time to focus on the future of the IOTA Tax Professional Learning & Development Forum and discussed the draft mandate for the Forum for the period 2017-2018 with special regard to the issue of added value the Forum brings to tax administrations compared to other international organisations.

The atmosphere during the event was very open and positive where many good topics were discussed.
