New Commissioner of the General Directorate of Public Finances of France has been Appointed
Ms Amélie VERDIER has been appointed to the position of Commissioner of the French Tax Administration with effect from 4th March 2024.
Prior to her appointment, she devoted fifteen years working in the Ministry of Finance, as Director of the Cabinet of two successive Ministers Delegate responsible for the Budget, and later as Director of the Budget herself. Ms VERDIER has also been involved in Health Policies, first as Deputy head of the main public hospital group of Paris, then, more recently, as Director of the whole Parisian Region Health Agency.
She attaches great importance to a collaborative approach between tax administrations and external stakeholders, by exchanging experiences and enhancing cooperation on issues such as implementing the Two Pillar Solution, increasing tax transparency and accelerating the digitalization of our administrations.
