New Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine has been Appointed

Ruslan Kravchenko has been appointed to the position of Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine with effect from 31th December 2024.

Ruslan Kravchenko was born in 1990 in Sievierodonetsk, which is located in the Luhansk region and is currently occupied by the Russian army.

From a young age, Ruslan showed interest in the work of law enforcement agencies, in particular the work of prosecutors office, and earned a Master of Law degree with a specialisation in Military Law at Yaroslav Mudryi National Law Academy in 2012.

In 2014, at the age of 24, Ruslan started his career as a Prosecutor by working in the 33rd Military Prosecutor's Office of the Southern Region of Ukraine. Then Ruslan was transferred to work at the Main Military Prosecutor's Office, which is a part of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.

From 2019 to 2021, Ruslan served as Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Central Region of Ukraine, and then he held the position of Head of the Department for Procedural Guidance in Criminal Proceedings, Specialised Prosecutor's Office in the Military and Defence Sphere of the Prosecutor General's Office.

In 2021 he was promoted and started to work as the Head of the Bucha District Prosecutor's Office in Kyiv Region. He performed the duties of the prosecutor until 2023. He was responsible for collecting and documenting evidence of war crimes committed by the Russian army in the territory of Kyiv region, in cooperation directly with international institutions and the authorities of Ukraine.

In April 2023, he was appointed by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as the Head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration. He performed these duties until the end of 2024, when he was appointed as the Head of the State Tax Service of Ukraine.
