New IOTA Paper from Sweden: Strategic Foresight at the Swedish Tax Agency

IOTA concludes this year with one final IOTA Paper in December. This paper, authored by Johanna Delac, an analyst at the Swedish Tax Agency, features an article titled "Strategic Foresight at the Swedish Tax Agency."

In this edition, the author outlines the Swedish approach to strategic foresight, which helps the tax administration effectively address both present and future challenges. This methodology enables the exploration of potential future scenarios and the identification of associated opportunities and challenges. For several years, the Swedish Tax Agency has relied on monitoring, business intelligence, and strategic foresight as key planning tools. These techniques allow the agency to identify and analyse critical trends and events in its external environment and assess their potential impact on its ability to fulfil its mission.
