NTS Korea Visits IOTA Secretariat to Enhance Collaboration

On September 11, 2026, the IOTA Secretariat welcomed a delegation from one of IOTA’S associate members, South Korea's National Tax Service (NTS), for a courtesy visit.

During the meeting, IOTA Executive Secretary Alix Perrignon de Troyes received a letter from NTS Commissioner Mr Kwanghyun Lim and expressed interest in strengthening the ties between NTS and IOTA.

The dialogue allowed IOTA Management to showcase its membership, activities, Work Programme, and opportunities for Associate Members, and to discuss participation conditions and the roles of IOTA Country Coordinators and Principal Contact Persons. The meeting also focused on enhancing NTS Korea–IOTA cooperation and exploring potential areas for future collaboration.

Representing NTS were Ms Song Yunjung, Offshore Information Division Director; Mr Ko Danghun, Director; Ms Baek Ilhong, Assistant Director; and Ms Ko Jeanhyo, Assistant Director.

On the IOTA side, attendees included Alix Perrignon de Troyes, Executive Secretary; Eugenijus Soldatkovas, Work Programme Manager; Roman Bichevoy, Strategy, Governance, and Institutional Development Manager; László Muzslay, Business Administration & Finance Manager; So Young Kim, International Taxation Expert and Korea Country Coordinator; and Erika Szabó, Communication Specialist.

IOTA looks forward to continuing the dialogue with NTS Korea and further developing cooperation and knowledge-sharing opportunities in taxation. NTS Korea joined IOTA as an associate member in 2021.
