Urbanism Awards: Rotterdam takes top prize

 Rotterdam, the city where next year's IOTA General Assembly will be held, has been crowned, Best City of Europe for 2015.
Rotterdam received that recognition after an election held by the London based Academy of Urbanism. Speaking about Rotterdam's victory, the chairman of the Academy said: 'The City has a predominantly young, open, tolerant community that is embracing innovative architecture and urban design and new business models. Its strategy is to attract families and businesses to the central area with a variety of housing, excellent public transport and a lively public realm'.
