The 29^th General Assembly of IOTA, "Adaptive and Agile Tax Administration in a Rapidly Changing Environment", took place under the flag of the Azerbaijani Presidency represented by the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan between 17-19 June 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This historic city, located along the beautiful shores of the Caspian Sea, served as the venue for IOTA’s largest gathering to date, bridging the cultures and geographies of East and West.

The IOTA Secretariat is actively seeking experienced professionals to join a dynamic, multicultural, and interdisciplinary team of enthusiastic experts. This team supports IOTA's mission and the execution of its annual work programme, which covers various topics relevant to tax administration operations. Currently, there are two open positions (both for secondment) available at our Budapest-based office:

On May 28, 2025, IOTA had the pleasure of organising another engaging webinar on HR Data Analytics. The online event welcomed over 80 HR professionals from 29 IOTA member tax administrations and was broadcast live via MS Teams.

On October 29-31 2024, IOTA had the pleasure of organising another informative and interactive event as part of its 2024 Work Programme Calendar. This year, the Meeting of the IOTA Forum on Human Resource Management returned for its sixth consecutive year, focusing on the theme "Building People-Centric Future-Ready Organisation." The hybrid event took place in Budapest, Hungary, and was attended by 44 professionals in person and 63 participants online. The event also welcomed representatives from the OECD Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) and their members of the HR Community of Interest.
