The Armenian Tax & Customs has a new leader

Mr Davit ANANYAN is assigned to the position of the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, thereby superseding Mr Vardan HARUTYUNYAN.

As a Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia, Mr ANANYAN will be responsible for effective management of activities of the Tax and Customs Administrations. He reports to the Government of Armenia. Upon introduction of Mr ANANYAN to the active members of tax & customs authorities, the Prime Minister set a task to assist businesses, provide reduction of grey economy and ensure increase of tax revenues.

Prior to his assignment, Mr ANANYAN worked as a Deputy Minister of Finance in charge of the tax & customs policies and international issues. He has long track records in the area of accounting, finances and public revenues. He worked as a tax official in 90s and as a manager of well-known auditing companies in 00s acquiring competence and expertise on the both sides of the work to be done. Mr ANANYAN holds a Ph.D in Economics and has extensive teaching experience.
